- Quiz scores and attempt history
- Lecture watch percentage
- Psych game scores and levels reached
- Daily challenge participation
- AI Tutor conversation transcripts
- Session duration and feature usage
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Crash logs and error reports
- Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
How We Use Information
The information we collect is used solely to deliver and improve the Zuno learning experience:
- Personalise your learning path based on your board, class, and performance
- Generate AI-powered report cards and mastery insights
- Power the AI Tutor with contextual academic assistance
- Track progress across subjects, quizzes, and daily challenges
- Send push notifications for study reminders and new content
- Detect and fix bugs and performance issues
- Improve our recommendation algorithms and AI models
Data Sharing
We share data only in the limited circumstances described below:
- School administrators may view aggregated student progress reports
- Parents or guardians linked to an account receive report cards and progress summaries
- Study Room participants see each other's display names only
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, crash reporting, and analytics
- OpenAI — AI Tutor natural language processing (anonymised prompts only)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Database, media storage, and video delivery
- Anthropic — Video script generation (content processing only)
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
- Children under 13 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating an account
- We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the educational service
- Children's learning data is never shared with advertisers
- Parents or guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time
- If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a child without consent, we will delete it promptly

Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS 1.2+
- Data at rest is stored on AWS infrastructure in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region, subject to Indian data localisation requirements
- Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted secure storage on-device
- Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only, with audit logging enabled
- Passwords are never stored — we use Firebase Authentication (OAuth 2.0)
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — Request your learning data in a machine-readable format
- Withdrawal of Consent — Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
- Notification opt-out — Disable push notifications via device settings at any time
